Vale Carol Hale
Partner in the former Burnbank Dohne Stud, Carol Hale of Cavendish Victoria, passed away suddenly whilst teaching at the Horsham Secondary School where she had been posted for the past 9 years. Partner Andrew Campbell speaking during the funeral on Friday June 30 recalled the payment of many invoices for Carol’s spare time hobby of repairing old computers for children from poorer, quite often aboriginal families. Her oldest daughter Karren followed with a beautifully, emotional stage performance along with her siblings Rebecca and Jessica.
Carol was of great assistance to myself for many years as secretary for the Victorian Dohne Breeders’ Association. Your problem became her problem.
The Grand Champion Ewe class at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo this year will be named in Carol’s honour.
The Andrew and Carol continued breeding and selling Corriedale/Dohne Rams and indeed purchased the highest priced ram at Richard Beggs’ Nareeb Nareeb Stud last year.
