VALE
It’s with deepest of sadness that we convey to our friends and clients the passing of Johnathon Alexander Stephens, affectionately known as Stevo on 7th June 2024.
He was the dearest of friends to the Pye family and mentor to many.
He stepped in to manage our southern property Caroonboon Station not long after the passing of Bill in 2015. He continued to manage Caroonboon up until his retirement in late 2023. During his 9 years at Caroonboon he was instrumental in a large infrastructure improvement programme; over 200kms of new fencing, covered ram selling complex, ram shed, covered processing area, irrigation upgrade and workshop upgrade just to name a few. He was a great friend, an extremely competent livestock person, a land manager, educator, plant operator, mechanic, a fabricator and so much more.
He will be very much missed by Caroonboon, our staff, former staff, friends, service providers and clients.
Our thoughts are with his wife Vicki, children Jacqui & Tom, son in law Lachie, grandchildren Jimmy, Poppy and Sybil. Along with his mother Dolly, his siblings Tony, Jenny, sister in law Gaylene and brother in law David.
We will always remember those good times we had with him, especially when we are down on the Billabong Creek a creek, which he loved spending time on.
FUNERAL
1pm Monday 17th June 2024.

Dohne Cross Lambs Top the Bendigo Prime Sheep Sale
10mth old Dohne/Poll Dorset lambs made $259
Topping the lamb sales, for the third week in a row, was East Loddon producer Rod Baker, Dingee Vic.
“Our Dohnes are a bit underestimated, so we also get $37 worth of wool off them and they grow out like cross breds,” he said.
A further 114 lambs from the Baker property returned $241.
Last week Mr Baker sold 170 lambs at $270 and the week before he had 96 sell for $242.
