JUDGING THE QUALITY OF DOHNE LAMBS
Students put their livestock judging skills to the test at the 2026 Community Bank Gilgandra & Central West Bendigo Bank NSW Dohne Prime Lamb Schools Competition
The lambs were judged on conformation, muscling, balance and trueness to type, giving students valuable hands-on experience in assessing livestock quality and understanding the characteristics of a well-bred Dohne lamb.
A fantastic opportunity to develop practical judging skills and gain a greater understanding of sheep breeding and the prime lamb industry.
