Dohnes do well in the varying climate that is predominantly summer rainfall.

Dohnes are run from the Subtropical highland climate of the South East with an average annual rainfall of 750mm to the Semi-arid South West with an average annual rainfall of 348mm & to the dry tropical far north with an average annual rainfall of 490mm.

Dohnes are continuing to grow in popularity due to their fertility, growth rates & doing ability.

Wether lambs are sold as stores to southern states for finishing.
